AI engineering & advisory

AI systems that survive production

We build AI, mobile and platform software for engineering teams who need it working for real users — and we help your own team get good at the tools.

No pitch deck. We'll tell you if we're not the right people.

Not sure which you need?

Most people arrive with a symptom rather than a spec. A scoping call is 30 minutes and usually enough to tell.

Selected work

What the work looks like

Challenge, approach, result. No adjectives.

Meridian Payments

Cutting manual review on merchant onboarding

Challenge
Every merchant application was read by hand. Onboarding took nine days and the queue grew faster than the team.
Approach
Document extraction with confidence scoring, a human-review queue for low-confidence cases, and an accuracy benchmark against a labelled gold set before rollout.
Result
71% of applications now clear without a human. Median onboarding fell to under a day.

Northwind Freight

An agent that books the exception loads

Challenge
Dispatchers spent their day on the 15% of loads that didn't fit the routing rules.
Approach
An agent with scoped tool access to the TMS, human-in-the-loop confirmation above a value threshold, and a full audit trail on every action taken.
Result
Exception handling time down by half. Zero unattended bookings above the threshold.

Cobalt Health

Getting Claude Code adopted, not just licensed

Challenge
Licences had been bought for 60 engineers. Under a fifth were using them weekly.
Approach
Baseline DevEx metrics, repo readiness work, a champion cohort, and hands-on sessions built around their own codebase rather than a generic demo.
Result
Weekly active use went from 18% to 74% over one quarter, sustained after we left.

How we collaborate

You see the same board we see

Most agency trouble is not bad engineering. It's finding out late. Every Flourisher engagement runs in a shared workspace where the work is visible as it happens.

One workspace

Every message, decision and artefact for the engagement lives in one place — not spread across inboxes and calls nobody minuted.

One senior contact

A named practice lead who is accountable for the outcome, not a rotating account manager. Written response within four business hours.

A shipped log, weekly

What shipped, what slipped, what's next — written down every week. Reading it takes five minutes and replaces the status meeting.

A record you keep

Decisions are written with their reasoning and timestamped. When someone asks in eighteen months why it was built that way, the answer is still there — and it's yours.

We run this in Slack Connect, Linear and Notion by default — or inside your stack if you'd rather not add another tool. Expect it to cost your team about four hours a quarter.

How we work

Four steps, no discovery theatre

  1. Scoping call

Thirty minutes to work out whether there's a real problem here and whether we're the right people for it. We say no when we aren't.

  2. Engagement brief

A short written agreement: the outcome, the scope, the timeline, your named practice lead, and what we are explicitly not doing. Nobody starts on a handshake.

  3. Build in the open

Work runs in the Loop from day one. First production release typically lands inside six to eight weeks — narrow on purpose, so it can argue for the next step.

  4. Measure and hand over

We define what "working" means before we build it, then instrument it. You finish with documentation, a recorded walkthrough, and a team that can carry it on.

What clients say

In their words

They killed our favourite idea in week two and were right to. The thing we shipped instead was smaller and actually worked.

Priya Raghavan
VP Engineering, Meridian Payments

The weekly shipped log did something I didn't expect — my own board stopped asking me for updates, because I could just forward it.

Tomas Lindqvist
CTO, Northwind Freight

We'd already bought the licences. What we were missing was someone to rebuild how the team actually worked, and that's the part they did.

Dana Okafor
Head of Product, Cobalt Health

Keep up with AI in five minutes a week

What actually shipped in AI this week, and what it means if you're building real systems. One email, Thursdays, about 800 words. No funding rounds, no hot takes, no recycled press releases.

Weekly. One click to leave. We don't share your address with anyone.

Got something you're stuck on?

Thirty minutes, no deck, no obligation. Worst case you leave with a second opinion.
